Get To know 6140 Events
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Chicken Tenders & Honey Mustard FTW!
What is unique to your business that was important to past clients?
6140 Events is unique for a few reasons. We are a "blank-slate" facility, which gives clients a lot of flexibility when planning out their event visions.
6140 Events does not have vendor exclusivity. We allow anyone to work at our venue, giving clients a choice in who they use.
Lastly, we are conveniently located right on GA-400! Our clients love how close we are to Atlanta, Alpharetta, Gainesville, Cumming, Dawsonville, and even Dahlonega.
What inspires you?
For me, it's more of a "Who Inspires You". My grandfather, Gene, is very inspirational to me. He taught me the importance of building and maintaining relationships- in my work and in my life.
My grandfather always took the time to learn more about the people around him, and remembered even the smallest details about their lives. This quality attributed to his success in the workplace, and his legacy in the community.
How did you get started in your business?
I had always been the "planner" of my friend circles, and realized I really enjoyed doing it.
I went on to get my Bachelor's Degree in Event Management, and ever since then, I have continued to create, plan, and execute events.
How do you spend your free time?
Napping is probably my favorite hobby... When I am not doing that, you can find me in a Spin Class, playing Scrabble with my parents, or exploring all the fun places in Atlanta!
What is your current Netflix binge?
I just wrapped up watching SHAMELESS! Give me some binge-worthy recommendations!
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms?
Get Mic'd! Whether you are getting married in a church, a barn, outside, (or at 6140 Events), having good acoustics & sound is so important. People come from near & far to hear you say "I DO" and they really do want to hear you!
What is your favorite part of a wedding day?
That is tough! I think my favorite element of a wedding day is watching the Groom watch his Bride come down the aisle. While most people pay attention to the bridal procession, I love seeing the quiet emotion that many guests don't notice coming from him. It is a really special moment.
